The Denver Auto Show started off with quite the announcement. The Rocky Mountain Automotive Press named their ‘Truck of the Year’ and it went to the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel.
This is the ninth year for the Rocky Mountain Vehicle of the Year awards. They produce the awards to honor vehicles that are either all-new or have gotten a significant revision in the 2015 model year. The voters are made up of the regional press and members that are in the area and able to test drive. The RMAP contains journalists from all around, stretching from Colorado to New Mexico.
The members put together their list of nominees and then grade each on criteria including performance, value, fuel economy, and features. The list is then narrowed down further until only three remain. For the 2015 year, the finalist were the Chevy Silverado HD, the GMC Canyon, and the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel. To kill the suspense of who won for those that skipped the opening paragraph, it was the EcoDiesel Ram.
The EcoDiesel 1500 has been extraordinarily popular since Ram released it. It blows away the competition in the all the previously marked categories and continues to gain the accolades and popularity.
