Ram Trucks Donates to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum

Ram Texas Ranger - RamDealerNY

Ram trucks have always been supporters of the Texas Rangers.  They’ve put out models of the 1500 that has honored the Rangers.  They plan to continue their support by donating $100,000 to the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum.

This donation is happening almost a year since they last partnered with the Texas Rangers and also donated $100,000 to help the legendary law enforcers.

“Texas Rangers epitomize all of the great qualities of the Lone Star State,” said Beck Blanchard, Director of Ram Truck Brand.  “Ram has deep ties to Texas.  Reinforcing Ram’s commitment to the Texas Ranger Division and the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum is a significant way to be engaged with the people and communities in which we do business.”

The money being donated will go to help make improvements at the museum.  A portion of the donation will also goto the Texas Ranger Association Foundation’s scholarship program.

Ram Donates 1 Million to FFA as Part of the ‘Year of the Farmer’ Campaign

During the Super Bowl, back in February of this year, Ram declared in one of their ads that 2013 is the “Year of the Farmer.” Sticking to their words, Ram Truck brand presented a donation of 1 million dollars to the 2013 National FFA Convention and Expo this year.

When the “Farmer” ad-spot went live earlier this year, Ram made a pledge. They would donate up to 1 million dollars for views of the video on their website. The views hit 10 million in less than a week.

Since then, the ad has been viewed online more than 22 million times. It’s clear they hit a sweet spot with people.

“It’s so wonderful to see our country rise up and show support for those who work hard every day to provide vital resources to the nation,” said Clay Sapp, President of the National FFA. “The response we’ve received from Ram’s ‘Year of the Farmer’ has been overwhelming, reinforcing the pride we have in our work and what it means to be a farmer.”

Ram Truck & Chrysler Donate to the First Response Team of America to Help With Oklahoma After Tornado

UntitledThe Chrysler Foundation, the charity arm of Chrysler, has donated $100,000 dollars to the First Response Team of America to help with the efforts underway to aid Oklahoma after the destructive Tornado. The First Response Team of America is a nonprofit disaster relief organization that helps local first responders and aids with cleanup efforts.

What the First Response Team of America does is head into an area that’s been struck by a disaster and lends a helping hand. They assist with the rubble, water rescues, clearing roads, and a host of other things to help the nearby communities. In order to do this, they require heavy duty equipment and Chrysler has been a supporter for a while now in that regard. The company has already donated three heavy-duty trucks to the team. Ram trucks are included in the long list of heavy equipment they need to handle the cleanup.

Last year, Ram began a partnership with The Weather Channel Companies and the First Response Team of America. The Weather Channel Companies also started the series “Responding by Storm” which reports on the work of the First Response Team of America.

Reid Bigland, President and CEO of Ram, has this to say, “We know that the road to recovery for residents of Moore and Oklahoma City will be long. The Chrysler Foundation is proud to support First Response Team of America’s efforts to help the people of Oklahoma get back on their feet.”

Chrysler has a history of support for communities dealing with extreme disasters. Just last year, here in New York, Ram donated 20 Ram 1500 Tradesman trucks and $100,000 to the American Red Cross in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims in Oklahoma still dealing with this horrible tradgey.  Please visit the First Response Team of America page and lend any support you can for your fellow Americans.

Museum of Aviation Gets Custom Ram Truck to Aid Programs

The Museum of Aviation is going to be getting some new help with heavy lifting, courtesy of a donated and personalized Ram Truck.

The Jeff Smith Automotive Group were the ones who provide the museum with the four door Ram truck. The truck sports a custom design and eye catching blue. Slapped on the side is the logo of the museum with a red, white, and blue paint scheme. There’s even stars and aircraft painted onto the side. The museum plans on having using this to aid their education and outreach programs.

“This will really expand our ability to talk about STEM programs math, science and technology and try and excite kids about getting into those fields,” said Pat Bartness, President of the Museum of Aviation Foundation. The truck will be helping with F-15 and T-37 cockpit demonstrations to schools, air shows, and other events.
