Ram Extends Partnership With Easton Corbin

Ram has been having a lot of luck with their country stars.  The recent partnership with Miranda Lambert has delivered a smash hit with her song “Roots and Wings.”  It’s clear they’ve found an audience for their trucks and it is in the form of a country audience.  It doesn’t come as any surprise that Ram is extending their partnership with country star Easton Corbin.

Easton and Ram have been collaborating since 2012.  This extension of their relationship is going to produce a whole new song titled “Let’s Ride.”  Like Lambert’s “Roots and Wings” the song is inspired by Ram trucks.  The song will be featured across a slew of media spectrums, from commercials to its own music video.

“We continue to look for unique ways to creatively show how Ram trucks are an integral part of our culture and the everyday lives of our customers,” said Oliver Francois, Chief Marketing Officer of FCA.  “It is rewarding to know that Easton, one of the hottest young artists in country music today, wrote the song inspired by his ongoing experiences behind the wheel of our Ram trucks.”

The music video of “Let’s Ride” will be available on YouTube and other digital services.

Ram Readies Two Ads for Kentucky Derby

Ram Trucks has released two commercials as part of their sponsorship of the Kentucky Derby.  Both ads are slated to air tomorrow, May 2nd, during the Kentucky Derby on NBC and if you’re a fan of the work and quality associated with Ram and Chrysler’s commercial work, then you’ll be loving these.

The first ad is called “Courage is Already Inside” and is 60-seconds long.  In a brief minute, it manages to get across a real sense of struggling for accomplishment.  The ad features numerous women finding the courage and strength to overcome incredibly odds and find success.  The women shown throughout the video are Eva Shockey, an avid outdoorsman, Country Music Star Miranda Lambert, and Rosie Napravnik, a horse racing jockey, among others.  The voice-over in the ad asks the question if you have encountered a challenged that seemed impossible to conquer.  The answer is that the courage was always inside of you to tackle it.  Guts.Glory.Ram indeed.

The second ad, “The Pack” is not as heavy on voice-over and subject matter.  This one is much more comedic even with Sam Elliot’s narration.  The commercial features a pack of sheep with one of them leaving the comfort of the pack to confront the sheep dog.  He befriends the dog and gets to ride in the truck home due to his courage.  Not the most subtle imagery to associate with standing out from the pack, but effective none-the-less.

Check out the two ads and let us know which one is your favorite.

Miranda Lambert Pens New Song for Ram Trucks

Miranda Lambert - Roots and Wings - RamDealerNYC

Country music and truck culture have always gone together. It is impossible not to visualize each country singer parked out in some kind of truck with a guitar. So when it comes time to advertise, truck makers tend to aim to pick up a country singer. In the case of Ram, they’ve teamed up with Miranda Lambert for a new ad campaign.

Lambert has put together a new song for the partnership. It is titled “Roots and Wings” and will be part of a new upcoming ad series with Ram trucks.

Both the video and the song capture an outdoors feeling. The imagery used is that of country life, with sprawling forests of pine trees and singing on the porch. The Ram truck makes numerous appearances as well as being referenced in the song as part of Sunday rides with her dad. It is also obvious that the wings is a reference to the iconic Ram logo with the wings.

Miranda Lambert commented on writing the song, “I am very inspired by what the Ram brand stands for – being who you are, working hard, staying true to your roots. I wanted to write a song that would represent all of those things. ‘Roots and Wings’ is personal to me about where I come from and where I am going. The guys at Ram really made the lyrics come to life with the imagery, and I hope it speaks to people the way it does to me.”
