Ram Truck Lovers Set New Record

There’s many ways to show how much people love a product. There’s high sales, there’s internet praise, there’s all kinds of ways. Another way is making sure that said product has a world record under its belt.

That’s what Ram enthusiast set out to do over the weekend. It all went down in a wheat field in Dresden, Ontario, Canada. It was here, on a freshly-mowed field, that Ram drivers far and wide lined up to break a record. The Rams were of all kinds of makes and models. There were some that were brand new, others that dated back all the way to 1976. Some of them looked like they came right off the dealership floor, others were clearly modified and stylized. There was a $20 registration fee to get in on the celebration, a portion of that ticket price going to charity while also making sure that you had a place in being part of the event.

To cap off the official news, a 2013 Ram 1500 took the lead of the Ram Parade as the ride to the Dresden Fairgrounds began for a representative of the Guinness Book of World Records to make the official count. In the end, they did manage to break the previous record by 13 vehicles. That means the new record of the biggest parade of Ram trucks is now 273 Ram vehicles.

You can show your love for Ram trucks and schedule a test drive today at Bayside Chrysler Jeep Dodge. For more information on all the different Ram vehicles, you can go online to the show-room. Don’t forget to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for more Ram news!

Ram Goes Retro With Art

Ram is looking to take a unique approach to their sponsorship of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Outdoor Annual Hunting and Fishing Regulations guide. In order to have something different and something that really stands out, they are going back to a more nostalgic look and feel for their ads.

Mediapost has the story that Ram is going retro for the images they are using. The posters that they are making as part of the campaign are similar to those that were made during the 30’s and 40’s. They are designed to have a style similar to the Art Deco Works Projects Administration National Park Posters that were made during the Great Depression. The goal the ads had back then was to promote the beauty of America’s parks.

There are 4 ads total, 2 being a full page ad while the other two are two-page spreads, and they will be distributed to 3 million Texas outdoors men. In order to capture that right retro look, Ram hired a Dallas-based firm called The Richards Group. The ads feature various different Ram trucks, such as the Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn and the Ram 2500 Power Wagon, in various settings such as the Rio Grande Valley, Lighthouse Rock, and Balanced Rock. If you like what you see, you can purchase prints or postcards at www.ramtrucks.com/outfitter and also at www.andersondesigngroup.com/horsepowernationalpark.

Ram Wants to Hear Your Stories of Glory

Ram is a brand that is all about excellence, going above and beyond for our customers every day. We work to make our trucks powerful, safer, and more comfortable, and we love to recognize others who go above and beyond. The RAMActs asked our customers to share their stories of random acts of manliness, and with our new Stories of Glory contest, we want to shine the light on unsung sports heroes. (And reward them with some great prizes too!)

“Stories of Glory” are any inspiring sports stories of yourself, your child, or someone you know. They can be the story of a high school coach who changed your life or your child’s first home run. To have your story considered, go to http://blog.ramtrucks.com/stories-of-glory/ and in 800 characters or less, tell your story. You can also include video or pictures if they are available, but they are not required. One winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Connecticut and will be interviewed on The Dan Patrick Show. Three runner-ups and thirty-one sweepstakes winners will receive swag bags from The Dan Patrick Show and Ram.

Do you have a Story of Glory to share? The deadline is August 21, so make sure you get in your entry soon! Also, check out the full Ram line-up online here, and keep up with the latest Ram news by liking Bayside on Facebook, following Bayside on Twitter, and subscribing to Bayside on YouTube.

If you are one of the first 50 people to correctly guess the next stop for Kristy’s tour, you’ll be able to get a hold of some great prizes. The prizes range from $100 and $50 fuel cards, duffel bags, camping tents, and more. The sweepstakes prizes, which are awarded at random to a person every week, are the more exciting ones.
